An optional, read-only integration in preview. Requires Signal Desktop on your Mac and your approval to access its encryption key through macOS Keychain. Disappearing and view-once messages are excluded.

A protected local database. No Nearfield cloud account. Your native source records remain untouched.
No tracking your activity to build somebody else’s product. Your archive is not uploaded to a Nearfield server.
Open source is the plan for launch. The development repository is currently private; public source and licensing are still to come.
Local doesn’t mean every feature is offline. Map imagery uses Apple Maps. Optional remote access uses an encrypted Tor connection to your Mac.
