Mail

The data already on your Mac, finally working together.

SIGNAL, WITH YOUR PERMISSION

Your conversations.
Part of the bigger picture.

Add conversations stored in Signal Desktop to Nearfield. See them alongside email and Messages, and let recent activity inform who to talk to.

An optional, read-only integration in preview. Requires Signal Desktop on your Mac and your approval to access its encryption key through macOS Keychain. Disappearing and view-once messages are excluded.

No messages sent or changed in Signal.

No upload to Nearfield servers.

Imported text becomes part of your local archive and is available to devices you pair. Manage or disconnect access in Settings.

HUSH LINE · TIP INBOX

A dedicated Tip Inbox.

Hush Line notifications deserve a place of their own. The Mac dashboard brings together notification emails from notifications@hushline.app, separate from your everyday conversations.

A preview, straight from your inbox.

The Tip Inbox card and Tips tab show snippets included in your local notification emails—not a direct connection to your Hush Line account. Tip text is shown only when present in the email. Read and manage submissions in Hush Line.

LESS SEARCHING. MORE UNDERSTANDING.

You have the information.
Now connect the dots.

A conversation in Mail. A meeting in Calendar. A proposal in a folder.
Nearfield brings the context together, around the people behind it.

01 / RELATIONSHIPS

Remember more
than a name.

See shared history, discover connections, and find reasons to reach out. Follow a relationship back to the records that support it.

Every insight has a backstory.

Read the actual email. Open the original document. Distinguish an extracted observation from an inferred relationship.

PERSONAL MEANS PERSONAL

Your relationships.
Not someone else’s dataset.

Relationship intelligence shouldn’t mean handing over your life.
Nearfield’s archive lives on your Mac, under your control.

Local by design.

A protected local database. No Nearfield cloud account. Your native source records remain untouched.

No telemetry.

No tracking your activity to build somebody else’s product. Your archive is not uploaded to a Nearfield server.

Built to be open.

Open source is the plan for launch. The development repository is currently private; public source and licensing are still to come.

Local doesn’t mean every feature is offline. Map imagery uses Apple Maps. Optional remote access uses an encrypted Tor connection to your Mac.
